I express my exuberance for life through art. Drawn to creating uplifting images, I invite my audience to be intrigued, exhilarated, soothed, amused.

My artistic process involves the exploration of an array of subjects and mediums. Mixed media collage, my favourite technique, allows me to incorporate my fascination with colour, shape, texture and pattern. I begin most pieces without an agenda. Through the organic use of materials, a composition emerges from my imagination.

I was fortunate to have a wide groundwork of formal training with which to embark on my artistic journey. It still informs my present day work. I received a degree in Fine Art from Concordia University where I was introduced to sculpture, drawing, painting and printmaking. At University of Toronto I studied art history. I had further focus on printmaking at the Three Schools of Art, life drawing at the Toronto School of Art and copper enamelling and jewelry making at Central Tech.

In my teens I created my first Rya Rug and since then have been using up endless bits of leftover wool to make more rugs and needlepoints.

Teaching art publicly and privately has also been an invaluable experience for me. I was a member of the Chipping Campden Art Guild in the UK for many years. My work has been exhibited and collected internationally.
